ISA Tennis 2020 Competition Results Round 3 and 4
Saturday August 1 and Saturday August 8
Round 3 of the ISA Tennis competition was cancelled due to wet weather. Round 4 started a little wet underfoot, but after a little warming sunshine and a gentle drying breeze, the boys took to the courts and played some very impressive tennis. It was great to have 3 of our 4 teams playing at the one venue. Division 2 was victorious 5-3 against Oakhill College and entertained the socially distant crowd with many thunderous serves and forehands while also amazing them with many fine touch shots. The Division 9 team made the most of the sunshine and perfect conditions for tennis with many a long battle to eventually gain victory against St Andrew’s Cathedral School 5 sets to 3. The Division 13 team also should be commended for their perseverance and stamina in squeezing out a very close victory which required a count back on games. The sets were tied 4 all but gained the win against St Andrew’s Cathedral School 39 – 36 games. Division 15 had a bye.
The teams were as follows:
