Mission and Wellbeing update on Term 3 and 4 events
We continue to monitor our school activities following NSW Health advice and recommendations. As such, please note the following changes to upcoming events:
- Year 5 Reflection Day - scheduled for Friday 11 September has been cancelled. This will be a normal school day for Year 5 students.
- Year 9 AWE for the remainder of Term 3. An alternative program incorporating Peer Support training, Reflection Day goals and other onsite activities will occur.
- Patron’s Day Celebrations - Friday 28 August. Our usual gathering for Mass followed by walkathon and picnic will not occur this year. The day will now be a normal school day for Years 5-11 students.
To help create a sense of occasion of our Patron’s life and works, the schedule for the day will include:
- Mufti (casual clothes, no thongs or singlets) to be worn by all students.
- An online Liturgy at the start of the day celebrating Augustine’s life.
- A BBQ lunch supplied for all students with an extended lunch free-time period.
Due to HSC Trials, there are no Year 12 classes on this day, however Year 12 students will be invited to join in the online Liturgy and are welcome to join their House for the BBQ lunch.
4. Year 8 and 9 OEG Camps – scheduled for 16-18 September and 15-18 September respectively have both been cancelled. Normal school will proceed for both Year Groups during that week. Please note that College school fee balances will be adjusted accordingly.
5. Senior Retreat – scheduled for 14-16 October (Term 4, Week 1) has been cancelled. We will endeavour to schedule an alternate arrangement for this important senior experience.
We appreciate your understanding of these changes and assure you that the spiritual and pastoral care of all boys will continue to be a priority.
