Despite the recent wet weather, the Saints Community Golf Day and Lunch was held on Tuesday under grey skies which cleared throughout the morning to a lovely day for golf. A COVID-19 limit this year of 104 golfers in 26 teams hit off over four different holes at 7-minute intervals to start the 7th Annual Saints Golf Day and Lunch. Cromer Golf Course was in amazing condition, challenging the low handicappers and making our 4 Ball Ambrose team event a tight and tough competition. There were a couple of prizes up for grabs for a Hole-in-One and Nearest the Pin on the 18th thanks to one of our sponsors, Northern Beaches Review. In addition, the Cromer golf pro provided smashing drives on the 7th tee and a Big Hole made things a bit easier on the 4th green.
Congratulations to the teams Augusta, Bombers and Year 7 Dads who all finished on the podium in a very close tussle for bragging rights this year.
The College Foundation sincerely thanks the many parents, Old Boys and friends of the College who generously supported the Saints Community Golf Day in these most difficult and challenging times, through sponsorship, donation of prizes and playing. Many thanks to current parent, Frances Whitfield, our fantastic golf day photographer who assisted us through the day and helped to make the day a spectacular success
And finally, many thanks to current parent and Old Boy, Vic Lorusso (Class of 1999) for being our fabulous Master of Ceremonies and auctioneer.
